Broadway (Burlingame) Station Platform |

This project is for the reconstruction of the Broadway
station platforms and for the construction of a third track from the Millbrae
station through to the Broadway Avenue crossing to provide better flexibility of
the Caltrain operations. The existing Broadway station is located close to
the Broadway Street intersection which causes excessive gate downtime.
This reconstruction work will result in the Northbound train stopping further
south of the Broadway intersection which in turn will allow for a better flow of
vehicular traffic and less gate downtime. This project is tied to JPB Job
No. 1258.
The concepts for this project have been completed. This project is currently on hold pending resolution and review of the rapid rail program and the long term goals. |
